The Breast Milk Bank of the Third-Fourth Level Hospital, serves approx. 600 children/year and is located in Ibagué. In 2023 there were 1,200 newborns discharged from the neonatal unit and 1,255 liters of breast milk were collected, of which 420 were produced liters of pasteurized human milk suitable for human consumption. To keep this precious milk, they require maintaining the cold chain perfectly adequate. For this reason, they requested two refrigerators with good freezing and cooling capacity that we were able to donate to them.
